TODDLER PROGRAM

Our toddler program is designed for children aged 18 month to 2.5 years of age. Each of our toddler rooms has a licensed capacity of 15 children with 3 qualified staff. Our teachers plan and implement a daily age appropriate program. Our toddler rooms are play-based environments. Play is essentially a child’s “work” and helps their brains grow while also being engaged in fun learning opportunities. Play-based learning in our toddler program helps build confidence, develops social skills, creates language and communication, empathy for the world around them including family and peers, and helps build physical skills, whether it be fine or gross motor skills. Our play-based environment is implemented in a way to encourage children to follow their interests when choosing an area of play, but the teachers support their curiosity, and exploration of their whole environment.The toddler rooms are set up with a variety of learning centers to promote the children’s knowledge. These learning areas consist of a dramatic play area, science and sensory center, reading place, and open-ended cognitive areas. We also have a group circle time, where the toddlers will gather for a short time to sing songs with action and playing with musical instruments. Toddlers are very active, with a high amount of energy, so they also need some physical activity, which our outdoor space in perfect for our toddler children.
