Our senior preschool program welcomes children aged 3.5 years to 4.5 years, with a maximum group size of 16 children with 2 teachers.
This program is designed to be an interactive experience between the classroom, the teacher, and the children. Our teachers are trained to focus on the specific interests of the children and to create a learning environment that will encourage children to participate in learning activities. The goal of this program is to develop children's independency and to prepare them for the larger school environment while we strive to make a challenging and enjoyable environment in which children have the opportunity to grow and learn through free play.
The children will be introduced by our teacher to a variety of stimulating activities such as play acting, book reading, music, dance and exploration activities. Some area of the exploration activities include art, literacy, science, math and more. In this program children will be encouraged to express their thoughts and ideas, make choices and ask and answer questions as a way to satisfy their curiosity and build problem solving skills. Our dedicated team of educators provide your children with a comfortable environment in which they will feel safe to play and interact socially together and to experiment, discover and challenge themselves. Each child will have the opportunity to participate in creative and cognitive/fine motor activities daily (e.g. scissor cutting, fun with printing and play dough activities etc.). Playing with loose parts is another part of our playing activity to improve creativity and imagination in your children. The children also explore our community by enjoying walks through our beautiful neighborhood and visits to the lake. Along the way, we talk about the things we encounter and bring ideas and artifacts back to our room to explore.
A team of educators, who hold either diploma in Early Childhood Education or Bachelor of Educational Science, create Love n' Learn curriculum in a way to incorporate the four developmental domains:
as well as four foundations of How Does Learning Happen (belonging, well-being, engagement and expression) in your children.
